The Ends of the Earth: Alaska’s Wild Peninsula
2013 FESTIVAL
60 min.
Filmmaker: John Grabowska.
The Alaska Peninsula is a cloud-cloaked wilderness of towering volcanoes, rolling tundra and the greatest concentration of the largest bears on earth. The writings of naturalist Loren Eiseley inspire this essay on a landscape where bears outnumber people and the sockeye salmon fishery is the most prolific in the world.
