Overview

2015 ACFF Producer’s Campus will be held
Saturday, October 24th and Sunday, October 25th at
the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, WV

ACFF’s Producer’s Campus is a conservation filmmaking workshop designed to provide an opportunity for both seasoned and aspiring filmmakers to hone their craft, exchange ideas in a creative and collaborative environment and expand their professional network with colleagues and industry leaders working in a similar genre of film production.

Now in its fourth year, Producer’s Campus continues its tradition of drawing presenters from across the documentary film industry for workshops on conservation storytelling, camera and shooting gear, fundraising and distribution strategies and much more.

The 2015 Producer’s Campus runs concurrently with the American Conservation Film Festival, now in its 13th year and beginning October 22 running through October 25.  The interplay of these two events offers unique opportunities for both workshop participants and film festival attendees.

ACFF is privileged to partner with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Conservation Training Center  located in Shepherdstown, WV as the host site of Producer’s Campus. This state of the art conservation training facility offers the ideal setting for a workshop centered on skills, techniques and strategies for leveraging the power of film toward engaging people in conservation.

ACFF’s passion for film and the recognition of the provocative power of story to connect people with conservation themes leaves us very excited to offer this opportunity to the professionals, both active and aspiring, who tell these stories. For the past eleven years, over a few days each November, the American Conservation Film Festival has presented the best films the conservation world had to offer. As we enter our 12th year, we also now bring the best filmmakers from around the world to Shepherdstown, to teach and share the skills of exemplary filmmaking, extending our mission to educate and inspire people to become engaged in conservation.
