Film Festival Announces New Manager

Shepherdstown, WV The American Conservation Film Festival announces the hiring of Tatiana Petrone as its first Festival Manager.   Activities of the American Conservation Film Festival have grown to the point that the organization’s board felt that a manager was critical for future development.  The new festival manager, Tatiana Petrone, is completing a Master of Fine Arts degree in film at American University, and brings experience with film festival management and event coordination. 

“We are thrilled to have Tatiana as ACFF's Festival Manager,” said ACFF president, Amy Mathews Amos. “She brings energy and passion for conservation, along with valuable experience in filmmaking and festival management. With her on board, our fall festivals will be better than ever, and we'll be able to reach an ever wider audience through our new Traveling Festival Program.”

The American Conservation Film Festival is now planning for its sixth season.  Scheduled this year for November 6-9th, the Shepherdstown festival will present twenty-five films that examine human’s interaction with the natural world.  New to the festival this year will be the “Conservation in Context” series of lectures.  Guest experts will hold discussions to help audience members learn more about the conservation topics featured in the films.   

After piloting an educational outreach traveling festival for two years, ACFF has launched mini-festivals that are held in other communities nationwide.  ACFF supplies films, conservation experts, equipment and marketing materials to outside groups.
